Fall

Dropping temps and rising rivers are bringing a mess of new (and large) fish into the rivers. Fish begin to move back into moving water preparing to spawn. Often times they will feed aggressively on bright streamers or will perform aggression strikes. Fish often smash streamers this time of year and make for some very good and exciting fishing. Often the biggest fish of the year are caught in the fall, not to mention the most colorful. Male brook trout will begin to turn bright red and some develop hump backs and hook jaws, making an incredibly beautiful fish. The salmon also develop hook jaws and they will all put up quite a fight after destroying a streamer! October also ushers in partridge hunting and the old cast and blast makes for a fun day. Chase fish in the morning and cruise for birds in the afternoon.
