Come join me July 9-12 for a trip into the North Maine Woods fishing ponds for native brook trout! Enjoy lakeside camping, trolling, swimming, moose sightings, chasing drake hatches, and sitting by the fire for three nights in the peace and serenity of the Maine wilderness. Eat like royalty while listening to loons and sipping bourbon. Price is $400/day/person ALL INCLUSIVE!

The target is big native brook trout feeding on green drakes in a remote pond.  The green drake hatch happens in a small window and brings every big brook trout up to the surface to feed.  When it is really happening we catch fish on nearly every cast and have had nights of over 50 fish to the canoe.  The pond is about a 2/3 mile hike on a footpath to a deep, very clear, kettle pond with nothing but native brook trout.  The scenery is amazing and we often see several moose.  During the day we will enjoy a comfortable camp, a nice fire, and some trolling or swimming on the lake for lake trout and brook trout.
